Freak Accident at Lumber Company

A man living near Calgary has apparently been the victim of a freak accident while working in Lethbridge at a lumber company when a piece of wood actually pierced his neck while he was working. The Alberta Occupational Health and Safety representative who came to the scene said the man had been feeding a long piece of lumber into a rip saw. The lumber apparently caught oddly on the blade and was tossed back out of the machine where it flew back into the man's neck. Doctors say that a segment that was around four centimeters wide lodged itself in the man's neck.
