There have been a lot of professional guitar players who have been a part of a band who have started to offer lessons to lucky individuals who have wanted to start up beginner guitar lessons with someone who is in part of a rock band rather than someone who has been trained in classical guitar. Although many of today's processional guitar players in bands have come from a background of classical guitar lessons, many young people who want to someday become a famous rock star have started to begin their training with what a rock band member could teach them first.

Canada has struggled for years under the weight of its dual languages and officials in New Brunswick are calling for the government there to ban bilingual daycare because kids who are enrolled in an officially bilingual daycare often lose the ability to speak French and are taught English instead. The man at the head of the charge to ban bilingual daycares has suggested that teaching a French child to speak English in preschool and then sending him to French schools later on can negatively impact his development and make it harder for him to succeed in school in later years.

There are a number of activities that parents can do with their children before the kids head off to school when they're young and these same activities can be accomplished during summer vacations so kids don't get too used to being out of school, forgetting everything they've learned over the school year. Activities such as kids art classes, basic math lessons and music groups and instrumentation can offer a fun time for kids where they're not only occupied, but learning as well. Kids love interacting with parents and friends as early as six months old and home schooling can be valuable very early in life.
